Whether you own a haunted Airbnb, organize women’s retreats, or are the event planner for a spiritual festival, if you’re trying to get your business off the ground, a feature from a travel blogger in your niche is a must.
Targeted exposure in the blogging world is no longer optional for new travel destinations in the spiritual travel industry.
But finding professional bloggers who produce high-quality copy and images in your niche is tough.
We have the same problem.
Event planners and hospitality owners willing to host bloggers are as numerous as shells on the beach.
But finding the right property suitable for a niche audience is more like trolling for buried treasure in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.
Fortunately, if you’re reading this, you’re property is probably in my niche.
Own a haunted house? Are you trying to get the word out about your medicine circle? Your Sabbat event? Your local Pagan Pride day? Do you want to attract followers to your intentional community?
Keep reading and let’s see if we can get this done together.
What You Will Get From Me:
-A full-length travel feature showcasing your property or event.
-Exposure to 100,000 monthly viewers on Moody Moons, plus 1 million monthly viewers on Pinterest.
-Access to a targeted audience on a blog that specializes in pagan lifestyle. If you Google “pagan travel,” you will find I occupy the top results most of the time.
-High quality, original photo imaging of your property or event featured in the article. Google hates stock images. All the photos you see on Moody Moons are original, and I regularly sweep for copyright infringement to maintain my search ranking.

What I’m Looking for in You
Moody Moons’ readers show special interest in properties, events and tours related to witchcraft, paganism, tribal life and alternative spiritual retreats. This includes:
-Haunted houses, bed and breakfasts or properties reputed to be haunted.
-Belly dance retreats and festivals.
-Ayahuasca and medicine retreats.
-Towns or areas with special spiritual significance, such as Salem, Jerusalem, Sedona, ect.
-Areas where the dead are venerated, temples and burial grounds, ect.
-Communes and community spiritual life.
-Properties that showcase exceptional natural beauty (including glamping sites).
-Properties that feature holistic food, spa treatments or other natural living values.
-Events for spiritualists, psychics and mediums.
If you feel your property or event merits consideration (even if not listed above) please feel free to contact me. I cannot accept all requests, however, all will be considered on an individual basis.
Please remember, you are not providing “free” accommodation any more than I am providing “free” advertising.
Despite what you may have read on Pinterest, blogging is a lot of work.
Dozens of hours go into a solid travel feature.
Taking notes, writing copy, editing copy, photographing the location, editing photos, taking care of the administrative details, getting to and from the location.
Bear in mind that paying a content marketer to do it all out of pocket would cost you thousands.
Most importantly, building a trusted audience takes years. You can’t buy it. You can’t fake it. Google knows the difference between a legitimate website with organic readers and a Russian hack site. Trust me.
For all those reasons, I have some minimum standards when accepting a feature.
-Please no festivals or events where sex is a primary focus.
-Property must be safe and well maintained.
-Your property or event must be on topic and relevant. If you’re not sure, ask.
Boost Your Chances of Acceptance
While all applicants will be given consideration, the following characteristics will be prioritized.
–Properties and events that are willing to host families and children.
My readers are mostly family-oriented, and as any hospitality professional knows, attracting quality guests means appealing to families.
The only way to know what your family-friendly property or event is like for families is to bring my family.
So if you don’t mind me bringing my husband and son, you’ll be given higher consideration.
–Properties willing to provide suites or upgraded accommodations.
Personally, I don’t care if you put me in a room with a concrete floor and a bare light bulb. I’ve slept in airports, on train cars, and even a park bench or two. My comfort is irrelevant to me. HOWEVER:
I can only feature what I experience. If you’re going to go to the trouble of hosting a professional blogger, it’s usually best to showcase your finest.
Don’t put me in your worst cabana with a leaky roof and a mouse infestation and then ask me to photograph your best yurt for the feature. Blogging is about direct experience.
Give me the experience you want my readers to see.
–Properties willing to assist with travel costs.
I do NOT require payment of airfare or gas in most cases, however, if it comes down to a choice between you and someone else, and you’re willing to help with those things, it makes a difference.
I will let you know if this is a factor upon receipt of your application.
